A Message To Fathers

It is sad that dads
Get the short end
Of the stick everyday
In every way when it
Comes to holidays
Most of us would sacrifice
Our lives
In order for our families
To survive
And if the zygote never
Completed its mission
Then life as we know it
Would never come to fruition
We are like the military
We serve and protect
Yet we can't collect the
Respect that is due
Because of a few
Who won't step up to the
Plate
And help fuel the hate and
Ruin for good
The beauty in fatherhood
As the court uses child support
Tactics as a racket
To put fathers in jail
With high bails
Everyone knows that
Justice is for sale
These unjust laws
We saw right before
Our eyes
Is the underpinning
Of why
Michael Scott chose
To die
He'd would rather risk
His life and run away
Then to face the child
Support system any day
Many of these warrants
Warrant revamping
Cause these tactics are
Further dividing families
And destroying our
Communities from the
Inside
As many good men have
Tried to be by their children's
Side
But can't and don't
Because the system won't
Give them a break
Cause all they do is take
So on this day I try to
Uplift you
As you try
to smile through
The bad gifts
The generically
Designed cards
That make this holiday
So hard
Keep your head up
And faith in God
As you continue to endure
This war
For the battle is not for the
Brave or the strong
But for the one who keep
Fighting when everything
Goes wrong
Cause in the end
You will win
Trust and believe in
His word
Because your prayers
Have been heard

there are the misfit fathers, the ones who don't pay child support, who abuse ...yes,..but you spoke up for the good ones here....and they deserve all the accolades we can give them.
