The Oath (Black Lives Don't Matter Part 4)

What should I expect
From those who took
An oath
To serve and protect
Yet with deep regrets
We get a knee to the neck
That is called the Floyd Effect
As Justice is Just Us
Being killed senselessly
As police brutality
Is on the rise in
Our communities
As they react differently
To their own
Doing the same crimes
They condone and pardon them
While they kill and condemn
Anyone that looks like me
As the fatalities of Blacks
Happens because cops
Over react in fact
Statiscally speaking
The stats show
That Negroes die at
A faster rate and
Are incarcerated more
Than any other race
Especially Black males
As the system is designed
For them to fail
As the scales of justice
Tilt more to the right
As Jury Nullification
Is the only way
To get equality in this nation
Yet
Those who took the oath
To serve and protect
Still
Have their feet up our asses
And on our necks
It is ludacris for us to expect
Compassion and dignity
When police brutality
Happens everyday
In our communities
Few are convicted and
Fewer do time for their crimes
As Grand Juries refuse
To indict
Because Black Lives
Have no value
As Civil Rights don't
Apply to us
By any means necessary
We must put our trust
In God and guns
As the 2nd amendment
Is meant for everyone
Not just some
As the privilege are making sure
That "no knocks"on the door
Are justified and
Quantified
Only to be
Nullified
Because justice is
Oftentimes is
Denied
As equality is never satisfied
As many have died
Because they all have lied
To cover up their tracks
Because it is a known fact
That Black Lives Don't
Matter
Still and never will

Powerful and painful poem with a very powerful and painful ending - perfectly expressed with a flow that carries you through to the damning conclusion:

Because justice is
Oftentimes is
Denied
As equality is never satisfied
As many have died
Because they all have lied
To cover up their tracks
Because it is a known fact
That Black Lives Don't
Matter
Still and never will

I am sorry.
