A Poem by Alias Fletcher

As I sit, watching the sun touch the hill,
I know I am not the same...

I may look the same,
But I am not-

For-
Gone is the violence,
So long to rob my soul of peace.

Short. But a tranquil presence within. I would like to see a bit more of the past that the character in this piece finally had to let go of to take back his/her soul. One thing to change is in the second line. You use "the" twice before "same...".

A sigh. A lovely sigh, to me, both resolved and relieved. Thank you
