BubblesA Poem by Ripple of AquaFrom the great underwater world...
Tides of warmth cascade around my body In effortless motion I kick and pull under the water
Bubbles rise from my mouth And I watch as they flounder to the reflective ceiling I look around in the greatness of the amount of aqua Bodys merge and bind Legs swinging, arms twirling, Cloth covering very little, bound and reaching like seaweed All hidden under the rippling roof I wind my body through the labyrinth, caressing lightly among the wrinkled skins Noises loose themselves, echoing and contorted laughter and voices I travel further downward So far from the surface that all lays around me is darkness My lungs constrict but I care less; sifting through the deep blue Diving further down I watch from the bottom, bodies rushing through the air Only for the water to enclose around them carefully Tearing itself apart in the process The air's fingers entertwining it's claws in the quakes of waves A single person emerges from the egg of clear white ribbons swimming off without another care Now the ache in my chest hardens into a heavy rock, smaller bubbles escaping my mouthed prison For a moment, I throttle, But my feet untwine and swerve below me franticly The sun wavering in the thin image of more blue clotted with white Then I break the surface © 2011 Ripple of AquaAuthor's Note
