Grasping Twilight

Grasping Twilight

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

***

"

This morning I was six years old,

       to misery immune

but as each moment came to pass,

       I’d grown by afternoon

now as dusk descends her veil

       I day-dream in the twilight,

while grasping sun and clouds

and stars…

       how old I’ll be tonight

My review content of "Grasping Twilight," by Rita L. Sev.

Ya, know, Rita, I can't go by what I see in your picture. If I do, it won't be a description. Yeah, yeah, just out and about mausering cocktail hour. And yes, when interacting with you, I think it's better to ignore my first thoughts, and do like you say, and simmer! I get this, your Walt Disneyness!

So, you whipped something up, I see... Nah, I don't look at you as a box of Instant Mascot Breakfast Cereal! I'm a live type, silly!

So who, or what is the main character in your content, Rita? Or, is it more of a pay attention to what is in front of me thing? Ah, it's a learn communication for dummies! Yay! I think I have a review slant of your content, Rita! Be a dummy, to not be a dummy! I'll bet I'm in the ballpark, Rita.

A cosmic starburst of a thought...

I'll bet you hate being mascotted...

Alright, enough of me. If you would, comment and let me know what's what with this content. I can't guess, as I'll be wrong, either way, unless I ask you...

Consider the source...

No, it does not. Youth had its advantages... Thank you, M.
Such a powerful poem. I especially loved the innocence depicted in the first line, and the lines "I daydream in the twilight, while grasping sun and clouds and stars..". I love how the last line can be perceived in different ways. Is it witchcraft? Is it the sadness of lost youth? I love the way it ends, leaving us wondering. Beautiful lines. Thank you for sharing. Your very welcome:)
wheeeew!... it felt warm and light, yet powerful and heavy at the same time.. contrast of deeper meanings and such beautiful imagery.. oh how I love your writing... in is in those moments that creates, destroys, teaches, pleases, and hold so much meaning, yet they are fleeting, and at the same time unforgettable.. the same way you said so much with so little, you can start the day naive and in such a short amount of time become-- older, wiser, with more baggage.. but, keep grasping for the stars and let the dreams rule the heart, because anything is possible:)
amazing writing..

"I day-dream in the twilight"... This is an incredible piece for so many reasons. This is truly a poet's poem... My pen hand doesn't know to applaud or take notes first!
