The Real Concern

The Real Concern

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

...

"
Dear Parents, don't you worry
that your child won't "fit in";
Rather, make quite sure that they
are happy in their skin.

"My Review of The Real Concern by Rita L. Sev, a Fellow Writer's Cafe Author"
by PB Jacobs (www.writerscafe.org)

Happy AM, Rita

A Golen Rule of Life: If you (including myself) don't get this right, you're gonna get screwed over!

You have my input about this, so you are well aware of where I'm coming from with this, so there is no need for me to fritter, nitpick, lecture, and nag, Rita.

I live a just be myself life, Rita, so your snippet of work hit's home. Yeah, I'd just as soon let a few things I whipped up in writing take, as some people have a bad case of retardation. Yeah, yeah, consider Beavis and Butthead, Rita.

Yeah, get your shovel(s) out!

Have a great day, Rita!

Rita,
True and valuable words. Being confident and owning healthy self-esteem goes along way. Good message.

That's a great message that I don't hear very often. I like the shortness and direct way you've delivered the message, because it's so simple. It's the "fitting in" that's complicated.

I like this message. I read a book called "Quiet" recently that said something along those lines. Sometimes not fitting in is exactly what we need to grow into who we are meant to be.

So true! Thank you, WillGrant!
'The real concern.' How apt the title, how true the sentiment.

A poem that caring parents everywhere can absolutely relate to. Beccy.

Yes and they set the trend instead of follow it.

Yes, they do.
If parents could catch those underlying problems early enough and get them treated appropriately it would have such a long-term impact on those school shootings before they spiralled so badly.
This is wonderful advice 'from the horses mouth' as we say. Top write Rita!

Thanks, Anto! I really do believe that this is a big problem with children today.
Sometimes we forget the power of peer pressure on our kids, but there is nothing more powerful than their knowledge they are loved and supported without compromise. T
