Harbinger

Harbinger

A Poem by Rita L. Sev

Heaven sent on vibrant wings
This harbinger of angels sings
Alighting in his crimson splendor,
Comfort to the mournful rendered -
How blessed, the branch that grants him rest
Graced with such a divine guest

We love the cardinals that frequent our feeders. They're our State Bird and we get quite the show in winter. I enjoyed your eloquent tribute to our regal friends. F.

I have one who semi=resides in a bush in my front yard...the clash of red against dark green...it is delightful.
