Daydreaming

Daydreaming

A Poem by Emmy
"

A bunch of depressing quotes. Sorry.

"
Some people deserve the world when in reality all they get is a pebble in the dirt.

I hate the phrase "We all have our days," because while it's true, sometimes it's not just a day. Sometimes it's months.

Footsteps sound like gunfire into deserted hallways.

Don't mind me, I'm just here screaming words no one can hear.

You don't have to know anything to understand everything.

Who am I? Am I to be defined by my actions or thoughts?

Sometimes it's hard to be alive.

I want to push the gas petal until the world flies away.

"Why," isn't an answer.
"How," isn't a solution.

Boys like girls who are alive.

There's so much about me that people don't know and sometimes I fear it's beginning to show.

Being in love is one of the happiest tortures I've ever experienced.

The quiet kills.

These words, we ingest them, careless of the fact that they bleed.

It'd be easier to close this grave I've thrown myself in than to attempt escape.
