Human Heart as a Black Flower

A Story by Number Six
"

While resting in a deep sleep, Azazel's mind wanders to when he was taken from his mother. The story is as short as the dream itself.

Human Heart

We always feared demons.

Hello, mum.

We, humans, were always avoiding them.

Rayen, come on, hurry.

We killed those creatures who we perceived as such.

What is it, mommy? You look scared.

We sought to create a world without them.

Tsk! No escape.

All in vain.

Mommy, what’s wrong?

All for Nothing.

Rayen, listen to me. Listen to your mom.

All those deaths, Useless.

Mum, who are they?

All the sacrifices done to purge ourselves from their demonic presence.

You must do as they say, okay?

In vain.

No, don't hurt her! Where are you taking her?!

Because in the end, where were the feared Demons?

Stop, Rayen! Don’t!

Where were those fiends who robbed us of our sleep?!

I’ll…! I’ll…!!

WHERE WERE THEY?!

No! Let me go to him, please! Otherwi-

WERE THEY REAL?!

In the end.

All the demons we were so.

So scared of.

Lived in the one, dark place.

The one dark place that we knew.

We knew they’d be.

Author's Note

Number Six
It's short, but it links up with my other two writings: Creation and Pathogen.
I'd be quite pleased if anyone found the link between the three.
The style is meant to be confusing as well.
