Into the Light

Into the Light

A Poem by Robert Cohen
"

People's interpretation of the light are very different depending on whose looking and what perception based on the image they are looking at.

"
I look into the light and I see the Friday night shadow.
I look into the light and I see the Shining brightness of a light bulb
I look into the light shining on the cotton rye sign across from me
I look into the light. I see the brightness of the street lights
I look into the light and I see the greenness of the trees around me
I look into the light and I see the whiteness of a shining Ford under the light
I look into the light and I see the greenness of the street light that directs the traffic around me
I look into the light and I see the brightness of this Friday and the beautifulness of the sky turning from day to night
