The Eleventh Commandment

The Eleventh Commandment

A Poem by Roderick Blakeman
"

A little rhyme to go with the picture

"

Moses went fishing with his mate
But glory be they had no bait

The outcome was no fish came near
though they waited for more than a year

Moses got bored and played a trick
with a wave of his hand it happened quick

The water parted where his pal sat
hook left dangling and looking a prat

Moses laughed with all his might
to see his friends ridiculous plight

But the friend got angry, and harsh words were spoke
it seems Moses pal can't take a joke

So to calm him down, to make him hush
Moses set fire to a bush

The flames went high, and with friend in awe
Moses created one more law

Looking skyward, and praying to heaven
he added commandment, number eleven

"Thou shalt not take the pish
especially while mate, is trying to fish"

Amen
