Forward

A poem that I wrote to help me through a tough time.

Forward

Need to keep moving forward
One foot in front of the other
Today has been hard
But tomorrow could be better

Need to keep moving forward
It still feels surreal
But one day at a time
The numbness will one day feel

Need to keep moving forward
Support given by family and friends
As a problem shared is a problem halved
But I know one day the pain will end

Author's Note

This is raw as it was how I was feeling at a bad time. I haven't gone back to change anything.

I am now in a better place emotionally. I don't write poems that often to be honest. More of a short stor, flash fiction, novella type of writer.

We need to have a positive way of looking at life and problems. There's no need to change anything in this poem.

Nice write... I could guess you probably wrote it to encourage yourself, and writing a poem can often encourage one very much. My favorite stanza was the first one- it was very straight forward, honest, and true.

No need to change anything mate, its how you were feeling at the time. Time passes at a steady constant but emotions and other things fluctuate, this is a snapshot in time of how you felt.
