Loneliness

Loneliness

A Poem by Liz
"

Poem about being isolated from the inside and feeling lonely to a point of depression to the point where the passages of happiness become blocked by sadness and brokenness

"
It manoevres its way in and lures you in its darkest halls
And swiftly entraps you inside its solid walls
Takes away that little ray of hope with no charity
And leaves you incarcerated in the passages of torn temerity

Like a shadow, you can't run away from it or hide
You watch as it burgeons inside
Its claws embed
And pests you incessantly with no desire to end

It pummels hard on your self-esteem
And leaves dents of tattered confidence that you can't redeem
Broken pieces of emptiness
Become the keys of the corridors of happiness
