Heavenly

Heavenly

A Poem by ROSALIND

I waited untill the sunset faded
I watched the birds fly high
above the twilight sky
I yawned at the fresh dew of dawn
But still I waited
I listened too cheerful
Song sung by the red breasted feather
Feasting on heather
But still I waited .
Heard the clock chime fast approaching mid-day.
But still I waited .
For you my child I waited .
But you were too busy
To be still .
My eyes are wet with tears
But still I waited
I waited again until
the pale moon light shone again.

Ah, the things we do for our kids and grandchildren. Our Lord can only be compared to a loving Father that knows we are but frail children, unsteady and impatient in all our ways but He waits on us just as we wait on them. He doesn't fail as we fail but when I think of how much I bear in patience and kindness with my own, I feel somehow more secure in my relationship with Him. I enjoyed the read. Bless, F.
