Dead Reflection

Dead Reflection

A Poem by Ross Emerson Realino

There's something behind my eyes
A part of me in disguise

I tried to be someone
And saw myself in the mirror
There was nothing
Nothing to see
Nothing to feel

There's something when I smile upside down
Which I burried a long, long time ago
There's nothing wrong when you always frown
It's not even your intention or your fault

The other me is knocking from the other side
Suffocated
Pissed off
A paranoid in a red room

Lights on
It's too dark
Lights off
It's too bright

Stirred in the wheel of life
Like a soul poured in a champagne glass
Like a dead bug stepped by a human foot
Like a centavo coin everyone ignores
Like a fork used for eating soup

I tried to be myself
The real me is my reflection
And my reflection is in the other side
The reflection is me
And the other one is my reflection

I can hear my voices inside
But it's not me at all
Like dead chicks in cracked eggs
Screaming, "F**k! I'm still unborn!"

With my sweaty iron fist
I punched this mirror of mine
My reflection was knocked out
He's now under coma and about to die

"It's enough!
It's too much!
Game over!
Die!"

About
I used to try writing songs before but I can't make one, so I tried to find something where I can put my early works of lyrics. Until they were turned into poems. I started poetry when I was 16 years .. more..
