I had the word bitter in my mind half way through and it just so happened to be written at the end. I liked it. Bitter and raw makes for a great ending to a relationship I have herd. Someone told me it makes it less painful to leave.
Never a fun goodbye. But sometime needed.
"So here's to you,
My Darling,
Even if you were poison,
Burning my lungs,
My Darling"
I understand the lines above. Thank you Roy for sharing the excellent poetry.

Heart breaking yet at the same time so strong, the courage and passion is radiating through every word, truly breathtaking
Remorse, regret, and longing are burning throughout the poem.
You did it again Roy
This is interesting. I like the overall message and it's really strong. I need to read it a few more times to see whether the amount of My Darlings in it distracts me from the message, our makes it sink in. On the first read, I didn't like it but the more I read it, the more I like it. Either way, overall I do like this piece as well. Great job
