My Mama

My Mama

A Poem by RubyOmma
"

She is the best

"
Works hard,
late nights
and can't come camping with us
at the last minute...
So we go alone without you
but we miss you.
She had to miss
because she is so dedicated
and so good
to her things that are
dictated
by something else.
Dad teaches me about
moss and spiders
and grows his roses.
But,
You gave me your eyes
and your kindness
and spunky fun personality.
You always let me play with Dad
when we play
Pinochle.
And don't get mad
when we win.
You are the one
who I went to
when I had sickness
and you showed me what to do.
You showed me how to be a
you.
You are my inspiraration and
role model.
I hope I can be
a copy.
It would be a blessing.
You gave me Papa
with his Genos
and hershey's kisses
and painted my face
and read book and recorded
them.
So I would never have to miss you.
You showed me music and
heart spirit and
laughter
and love.
I love
love
love
you.
When I sit
and do my
loving kindness
meditations,
the first thing you do
is to
think of someone you love most
and it is you.
Thank you,
for being my mom.

You are a good mom and
the best
and I won the lottery.
Not you.
Thank you.
You will never feel
or know
but hopefully
Karma will show
what you have done
for me.
I will
work for you, and
be my best smartest
self
that looks like you
and has your eyes and your
spunk.
I will be me
that came from you.
We are good.
Because you are good
and you created me.
Thank you Mama.
Elixabeth Ann Weber who
used to be Hoye.
You are so perfect.
I love you.
And one last time,
thank you.
