Indian Trek to Kerala

Indian Trek to Kerala

A Poem by Rubymoonbeam
"

Having recently returned from trekking in Kerala India this is snapshot of the beginning middle and end.

"
It is a flame that really quickly ignites
A desire that burns inside oh so bright
An urge that bubbles up from way down below
When adventure calls you just got to go

Off to Kerala i trekked
The leaflet didn't tell me what to really expect
No blood loss, i kept the leeches at bay
Plenty of sweat and tears though as i slogged through every day

Plenty of laughter too and lots of lovely chats, bonding and comeraderie as one we climbed and climbed the Western Ghats

Fond farewell sweet Kerala whose charms do not lack
You stole a piece of my heart and the fleece from my back
Soon to return so the saying goes
'If you leave something behind you will be back before you knows'
