Instinctive

Instinctive

A Poem by Rudi J.P. Lejaeghere
"

Trust your instinct to the end, though you can render no reason. Ralph Waldo Emerson

"

Between primordial sea and a sparkle

to come into being, the expanding

indefinite floating amongst gasses

the knowing and the sublimating

there’s a story present

on the other side of the moon

unseen falls stardust in the dark

call it chances or divinity

reaction on action out of nothing

coincidence of correctly measured

I know myself in this

lost in a thousands thought

rusted in my dimensions

I’m groping as a blind in broad daylight

around me

at night I’m just going instinctive

to the right room

a place where I feel safe

close together with you in my arms.

It's a wonderful comparison of our lives and the ever expanding, mysterious universe Rudi. Like the universe our thoughts are also so vast, without any limits. And we are always lost in a universe of our own inside our heads...

In the absence iron clad truth or revelation, instinct is the operating principle, and sometimes even in the face of truth or revelation.

Philosophy, metaphysics, realists, WHATEVER. IT's like calculous/ but we are influenced by our EVERYTHING, every tiny experience. I enjoyed the writing and it did make me think, using your metaphor on the other side of the moon. The theme it seems to be, we trust in our insticts, no matter the outcome. We are so tiny in the scheme of things, I feel that way, a lot. The writing is great. Thank you Rudi. 800 Member Tag (Poetry 101). Hope I'm doing that correctly.

in the dark we move on instinct...in the light we are too careful...we see where we are going, better, more fun, not to...
like movement with the pen...the words feel more confident to feel the page in the dark.

Wow, thank you Laura, I'm flattered. :) Rudi
Stargazers will sense stardust. I guess then the question is what does such radiance amongst the infinite darkness of it all really mean? I guess as the writing invites to reflect upon ourselves. We emit so many streams of thought yet they all depend in what sort of conciouness episode we are inserted. If it day conciousness then thoughts seems to iradiate while night conciousness thoughts seem to imbue.

Silently that is.

Peaceful moment this Rudi

Thankyou
