In silence

In silence

A Poem by Rudi J.P. Lejaeghere
"

Silence is a true friend who never betrays. Confucius

"

Between the leaf and the stalk

the grain is drawing his line

the blood through the artery

a tree that is drinking

very deep and intense

a crest whispers

on and off

with the wind

beam after beam

the sun is flowing in pieces

gold on the ground

the forest is holding his breath

in the quiet after the storm

when shadow and light

very amorously are starting

a colourful duet of ballet.

DUTCH VERSION

In stilte

Tussen blad en steel

trekt de nerf zijn weg

het bloed door een ader

een boom die drinkt

heel diep en intens

fluistert een kruin

af en aan

met de wind

vloeit straal na straal

de zon in stukken

goud op de grond

het bos is de adem

in de stilte van de storm

houdt hij hem in

als schaduw en licht

heel amoureus

een pas de deux

begint .

Wonderlijke beeld dat uw schilderd voor iedereen, heel erg bedankt! Imagining trees with blood life in them, how water should be seen, the intensity of the wind, the reach of the golden sun, and how the forest holds its breath, withholding carbon dioxide-releasing oxygen, whilst shadow and light or night and day dance their duet. Truly a beautiful scene you have set, such a theatrical ballet, thank you sharing such beauty!

Thanks for sharing Rudi, reading it right now!
Rudi, exspect nothing less, but magic, the beauty of nature so well defined, waiting, breathing; it's love and it's lovely. Enjoyed the Dutch version too. Does sound beautiful; so much like German. Thank you so very much. You know I love the forest. In Silence, great title too. Just brilliant. Dale

And nature speaks in the best silenced of times, when we can listen the most.
I love the dance of colors and the pull and push between the wind and leaves.
Serene and lovely.

This is rich in it's imagery Rudi and sensual in its feeling - absolutely well conveyed dear poet.
I enjoyed this.

Could I make one suggestion - if you find yourself using 'very 'anything' ' perhaps there is a stronger synonym could be used for effect.
eg
very amorously = impassioned
very deep = deeply

:)

',, the forest is holding his breath - in the quiet after the storm .. '

There's true purity here, words smoothly laid, meaning calm yet somehow energising.. an invitation to dance in both the shadows and light of your intention. Stunning writing, flowing gently.. tis a gift.
