It’s a different time that writes me

severe winds cutting chill

through my phrases

 

it sometimes stays quiet in my ear

when I ask for the things

that I before didn’t understand

 

I confess myself

in a late coming springtime

 

a flower

relieved of a hard bud

later

maybe freed from his roots

the blood on the trunk

as a witness for the struggle

 

I shout with the seagulls

in their flight

 

a meaningless sigh of the sea

 

waves beat the tide

in white foam

as a headache apart

 

will I be reborn

when I die in the earth,

in the air and in the water?

I've always been pretty open to change. I think its part of our growth in the process of life.

I've never given any thought to the afterlife, but I have wondered what will happen to my poetry... after I'm gone.

The graphic you used for this philosophical treat reminded me of a website that would create any writing into this very form. I only wish I still had access to it.

i wonder if we will be reborn...i do believe in reincarnation...but the question is what will a poet come back as? perhaps a "meaningless sigh of the sea" but then we had better make the best of meaning now, in this life.
