Dreams Of Aphrodite

Dreams Of Aphrodite

A Poem by Robert Wilson

Fantasy about perfect love

A beautiful woman dances under the naked sky in a field of ecstasy
Green eyes explode like supernovas in the bowels of deep space
Her black hair is a snake wrapped around my every thought
Its tears soak a dead magnolia buried under six feet of rust and death
Euphoria clings on the moments I spend in this rapture
But everything dies with the faint crow of a lonesome rooster
It's all just a dream melting into the calloused hands of the day
