blue-white gem, precious orb

seen high from dark of space

living brown and emerald green

made of your wondrous face

as the eagles fly in your air

such sweet expanse,

as wings for me perchance

with bursts of joy

your soft folds of land

warm in tans of brown

and heavy solid rock

upon which we all stand

lace your surface as a crown
