non-fiction, how difficult is it these days to erase yourself from history.

Please delete me, 

this is a  non-fiction piece based around the twilight zone episode,  actually a couple of them ,  the first is when thosse three guys get erased from history,  and the second is when the arrival,  flight 107 mass dillusion, , the premise is how difficult is it to erase yourself from history with today's technology, how long would it take to remove your details, how difficult is it to stop leaving digital footprints,  just how many ways arethe details being tracked, can you indeed duck off to walden pond for a while an nobody know where you are. 

a lot of things are against this I know,  just the research itself makes it difficult,  you would have to research under a false moniker, stop making phone calls, turn off GPS,  hide and remove photos taken by others, or digitally manipulate them ie the ring,  then of course there is financial information,  of course you could hide all your money in a mattress for a while, close all the accounts, but that still  leaves a trail, essentially you need a third party assassin who works like an eraser, ie Matthew Reilly
