How I loved thee...

How I loved thee...

A Chapter by RussianRevolution

You've been with me for years.

Slept with me through countless nights.

So close, never out of reach.

Stepped on, bent up, scratched.

We've been together for so long.

You've seen me cry, you've heard me laugh.

Why, oh why?

You left me in my time of need.

My glasses.

I broke one part of you first.

Luckily, it was doable, fixable.

Now, I do not know if it is able to be repaired.

Perhaps now, it is time to get a new pair.

I cry, frameless.

It is now offical.

After appoxy and wire.

Tape and glue.

You are broken, finished.

Once again, teary eyed I write.

My faithful friend, my darling.

I shall not see, at least for a week.

You'll always be in my heart, my glasses.

I believe that the ability to derive inspiration from tragedy is the most valuable skill a writer can learn. Clearly, you've learned it well.

About
I'm short. I don't write nearly as much as I want or should. I'm usually off creating some other form of art. Tell me what you think of whatever I get around to writing, I'd really like that. more..
