My Sickness, My Disease

My Sickness, My Disease

A Poem by S.G.P.

Blood, Crimson Red, Thick with poison.
Drank intentionally. And indulged without remorse.

Drink the bottle with jet-black acid.
Consume the sweet bitter substance to quench your thirst.
Drink your mind into a haze and feel the universe a mile away.
Assist the poison to flow.
Encourage the disease to trail your veins with damage in its wake,
Slowly overtime.

Devour the toxic that you crave
And live a life of ignorance and bliss.
Feel as your body decays, slowly over time.

Allow the disease to blind you.
Imprison you within your rotting flesh
Loss of feeling, sight, and taste.
Dead is what you are.

Let despair consume your Soul and live with the conscious
That this could have been prevented.
