The Chameleon

The Chameleon

A Poem by Spencer Barker

The chameleon,
how he comes in and out,
from the darkness of doubt.
Streets of past,
litter the jungles of time,
the color of skin goes with and out of grime.
Flicking of tail, change in character,
it is the chameleon,
and how he has begun the show!

There is much wisdom in the way a chameleon lives
takes on color
and nothing else

as if it bears only good to a certain extent and leaves all else from it's surroundings

wise and smart one
