Shooting Star

Shooting Star

A Poem by C.N.Moore

Such a bright star come down from above,

Full of laughter joy and love.

Shooting through the darkest night,

Filling souls with brightest light.

Your stay with us was short but sweet,

Rejoice your life yet still we weep.

These tears are for the hearts you've warmed,

Each running down the path now worn.

With every night I search the sky,

For that twinkle that lived inside your eyes.

One day we'll hold each other again,

I love you always I'll see you then.
