Forgetting Pine Road

Forgetting Pine Road

A Chapter by Following Ferns

If I was walking down the nightmare path

Of a place where I once felt safe

Would my skin change to grey

And peel away

Or stay in it's fleshly place

I believe that all my dreams

Are stuck in a grave

Behind my bed

Too far to reach, against the wall

Beside the dust, lost in grief

It was the dirt that felt warm to me

Softness beyond Heaven

The earth under my feet
