Fresh

Water: Galore

Sand under my feet

in between my toes,

skinny dipping

with furtive throws,

skin wrinkling in

calm surrender,

fatigued to the core,

waves wail with

conflating abrasions,

wondering tides of

humid persuasions,

plentiful, eventful,

drowning out the

cry of seagulls,

of human foibles,

on earth’s placid shore.

Having read it once out loud, and my first read of it, I stopped, knowing I had just spoken something lovely enough to create a space of reflection, in the suddenness of its conclusion.
And I f*****g love that it is shaped like a fish.

Your excellence is boundless, I'm going to go read it again.

(thank you always for the read request!)

again, intriguing as are all of your writes...this one encompassing erotic interests--intended or not--but skinny dipping plus those wondering tides, conflating abrasions and human foibles led me there, although I have in the past seen myself as one of the dirty old men---perhaps my own skin hath surrendered too much. To be fair, layered poetry such as this one does offer many interpretations and flights of fancy;
My idea of a griefless fish included!

from a morbid ocean of thoughts waves of dreams rise, roll and break, one after another, in weary repetitions while the foundation of civilization flourishes only with wrinkles of aging.....no escape until the hopes of fresh waves succeed.....very nice thought and wonderful poetic reflection of it.....great work, Sheema !!

Thanks ever so much Dhaye.
Sublime. Makes me miss the ocean. Calm surrender: I love that feeling. Water is humble because it flows down hill to let itself be below everything else. By becoming small it becomes bigger than everything else. The ocean embodies the experience of vastness and realisation of our inseperability with all other streams of conciousness. For this reason the experience of the ocean is one of great bliss for me.

Your welcome. Many Blessings!
I love the imagery in this one. The over all feel truly made me want to go to the beach. And your note is correct, from the side I do see some sort of finless fish, which is interesting and adds to the whole beach feel. Great job!
