The End.

The End.

A Poem by Sidney J Hogan
"

Poem from the perspective of a solider as he takes his final breath.

"
We will remember them.
1914-1918, 1939-1945

I wish I was lay in a field of love,
instead I'm in this field of blood,
The people in charge don't care,
so we don't argue, wouldn't dare

Surrounded by my friends,
who all had tragic ends,
my story ends now, I'm so tired.
Remember me, remember us.

Whether you're sat at home, or riding the bus.

WE DID THIS FOR YOU.
SUFFERED FOR YOU.
DIED FOR YOU.

FIGHT ON FOR US.
LIKE WE DID FOR YOU.

Wow! Just wow! This is such a deep insight into the mind of a person as they experience a traumatic event. Well done!
