Alone

Alone

A Story by Debbie Durham

Alone is not so bad.
You can be quiet when you are alone.
You can hear your inner voice.
You can listen to your heart's desires.
You can negotiate with the voices in your head.
You can concentrate on what is black and what is white  and what is grey.
You can decide what is really important.
You can have an amazing calm within your self.
You can let all judgement fade.
You can have empathy for others.
You can find sympathy for others.
You cannot change the things you've done or the things that have been done to you but you can sit with it all and accept it and decide what changes should be made moving forward.
Alone is not so bad.
