Hold Onto

Between you and me things are great.
Seems we are heading in the right direction.
Hands joined strong we are walking,
And the path is smooth and in a good condition.
But, my dear, you know roses have thorns
And dark clouds have silver linings.
When things start to fall apart,
When we no longer are in the right direction,
When strength recedes in our hands,
When the path runs in rugged landscape,
When thorns poke us hard,
When silver linings are out of sight,
I will hold onto you and you hold onto me.
