Don't you care?

Came up with this after my mom and dad got divorced, hope you like it!

I have been beaten and misused,

Don't you care?

I have been punished without care,

Don't you care?

 I have been hurting since you left,

Don't you care?

I cry myself to sleep,

Don't you care?

I have taken a blade to this wrist,

Don't you care?

No you do not care!

You left without a word!

You never returned my calls!

I haven't seen or heard from you since you left!

Don't say you care,

Because you DON'T care at all!

A good poem. Starts off in the middle and gives rise to an emphatic ending. Sadly, the lack of a more gentler beginning does not help you. I feel as if these words are thrust at my face rather than tugging at my heart. But it does get the message across . . .
