A Poem by sabine

It won't last forever

One of these days you're going to look back at your past self and smile with nostalgia, not cringe with embarrassment. One of these days you'll see a mirror and smile at your reflection because you're proud of the person you've become, not avoid looking at it because you can't stand to see yourself. One of these days you'll be in control of the thoughts in your head, not the anxiety and insecurity that seem to reign over you. One of these days the positive moments will outweigh the negative ones and you will be happy to be living the life that you were given. One of these days you'll look up and realize it's been months or years since your last panic attack and you can't remember the last time you sat in bed staring at the wall, thinking of all the reasons why no one should love you. One of these days you'll realize that life is more than just an uphill battle. One of these days you'll be able to say you were brave and you made it through, stronger than before. You may always struggle with your demons, but it won't always be as bad as they try to convince you it will be. You will eventually learn to manage the anxiety, the insecurities, the internal struggles that you face, because you are a warrior who will not be defeated. One of these days you will look back and smile knowing you went through hell and made it out alive. One of these days you will be victorious.
