My Only Hope

My Only Hope

A Story by Sahar moonlight

I smile. This smile that hides beneath it a deep pain that can't be expressed by words. I smile. This sarcastic smile about that heart that didn't feel anything other than pain. I smile. This smile that carries infinite tears beneath it.
I smile because I always smile. A simple small smile life had drew on my face.
Pain took the shape of that small arc shape on my lips.
Smile is sign of hapiness? Smile is a sign of peace?
Smile is only a way to hide yourself. Continue. Yes I continue my day with a smile on my lips. And in night, I join my friend. Each night my friend waits for me. I talk to him. I talk to him with no words. He understands me always. Looking at him each night gives me the strength to live the next day.
Dear friend stay here with me. Listen to me. Don't leave me here . You're the only one I got. You're my only happiness I feel. You are my inspiration. You are my hope.
Everybody comes and leave but keeping a pain over there in my small deep heart. And you my friend who help me overcome it. You never stopped my running tears from my eyes.
You are the only one who knew that you shouldn't stop them. You washed my heart by my tears. Tears that burns giving that feeling of pain evaporating. All this happens in your presence dear.
I know that you won't leave me. Pain is my destiny and I have to accept it.
Stay with me. Give me strength. You are my Only Hope.
I know each night, I will be here waiting for you. And you will appear to give me company from there in the unlimited sky. Shining on me. Caressing me with your silver shining.
Don't leave me. Give me this hope even from behind heavy clouds.
Be with me. I need you.

One of my favorite ballads, Done Too Soon, was written by the great poet and songwriter Neil Diamond. After reciting the names of many important and notable people who have passed on, the song continues "... and each one there, looked up in wonder at the same moon." Your story reminded me of it.

Beautiful! I wrote a haiku about the moon that I have not posted yet. Isn't the moon so lovely!

Whatever or whoever it is that shines on you at night and gives comfort is a blessing, for sure. I've known sadness and dark times, too, and they've always passed. Surely it will be the same with you.

I quite enjoyed this piece. The emotion in it was so raw. I loved it! Well done!

This makes me feel something bordering on pain, sadness and longing to be loved. You did a marvelous job in penning this.
