Despair

Despair

A Poem by Salahian Dame
"

There is no need for description.

"
When giving up fight is the obvious way,
and you can't see anymore light of the day,
when hope dies corrupted and withers in pain,
there's nothing to lose and nothing to gain.

You then will see her soul defiled,
it's temple destroyed and blown away,
you will then see the sign of Despair,
thick black clouds covering new day.

In lair of the beast the shadows are hiding,
and there's no light anymore, no light to show the way,
When monsters in night are attacking and raiding,
No longer bard songs are merry and gay.

Ascalon who till yesterday was shining,
With colors golden and malachite green,
Now losing his color is, slowly is fading,
As I am falling, deeper, two worlds between.

I can't go any further, now I can't go on,
I'm living but inside feeling like empty, dead husk,
Delving through my pain, choking on my mourn,
Standing before meaningless, empty life task.

The poem is really good and I think you need to write a novel! Your poems tell stories and you are wonderful at creating an atmosphere of another world - mythical and epic.Have you thought about writing a story/novel centered around a world similar to this? It seems like it'd be a natural fit for you...
