God is a Murderer

God is a Murderer

A Poem by Sam

I was there at the birth
Of your disease.
God is a murderer.

Your comic face is all facade,
Admirable role play,
Stiff upper lip or else,
You'll lose grip.

If I was God,
I'd set you free
One way or another.
I'll never forgive him for what he's done to you.

There's something about the last stanza. In the first, you were there at the birth. In the second, you are witness to the coping. There is a sort of progression. We're hearing half the conversation.

And, maybe I don't like God being in that first line of the third stanza. I sort of worked it out in my mind this way:

I'd set you free
if I was God
One way or another.

Those are my thoughts for what they're worth. Powerful writing. I'd love to see your artwork.
