Life Swap

Life Swap

A Poem by Sam

I read your diary once
A travesty I know,
The book was red and tortoise shell
Spiral bound, just like us.

You were jealous as hell,
You wanted a family.
You wanted love,
Mine was never enough,
Always another kiss
Desperate masochist.

You see
I'd give you all these things,
I'd swap
On the outside you've got it all
A job, your place, your c**k,
You had your youth, you lived it.

You don't make yourself better.

My family is mine.
It's not my fault
You not loving me is punishment enough.
