When Night Falls

When Night Falls

A Poem by S. Elice
"

The most vivid memory I have from one of my tragic love stories.

"
Hands wanting
to rove higher than my legs.
Lips wanting
to lean in and claim me.
Secrets that we must keep,
in order to continue our lover's embrace.
Sunlight, hours away, waiting to
pounce and expose us.
A swaying hammock,
not by a breeze, but
by our shaking to restrain ourselves.
Who knows what else happens
when night falls.

All my writing is true and I have experienced everything in my life. I only hope that others will not make the same mistakes that I have.
