3 little words

3 little words have ruined my life

Im not sure why I put up with this strife

One by one they tell me this

And everytime, i go back to happiness

Only for a moment, then my heart shatters

I pick up the pieces and grab a ladder

Climb to the top to the moon

I assemble the parts high in the sky

Maybe now no one will try

I take a step off and start to fly

Spreading my wings and soaring high

I like the way you open this up with: "3 little words have ruined my life"
It's like the author isn't ready yet or as it states later on dreads the ending when those words will be taken back and all the hurt that doing that will bring. The ending also had some nice visuals and feelings to it, associating things like "soaring high", and "spreading wings" with sadness and pain. I say sadness, but I wouldn't even go so far as to call it sadness when I read it but closer to loneliness.
