Stone Heart

somethin i put together after giving a heart shaped crystal to my gf. I told her i gave her wats left of my heart. it was smooth on the outside but flawed on the inside. she holds my heart.

There once was a young man

With a heart carved from stone

This impenetrable shield

Protected him always

From injustice and fear

From pain and doubt

This strong hearted young man

Stood against all

The outside was stone solid

The inside however was breaking

No one was this flaw

His stone walls hid it

The rock hearted youth

Fell deeply in love

And the emotion and passion

Was so over whelming

The his fortress of a heart

Could not contain the erupting force

From inside out

The Stone heart shattered

Angelically glowing in its place

From its crystalline core

A perfect crystal heart

Perfect yet flawed

Smooth on the outside

But crack from the inside out

He gave her his heart

And she holds it always
