Summer Break

Summer Break

A Poem by Sandra K

End of the school year is,
Marked by the deathly temperatures
Rising form the sun,

Boats, Canoes, Jet skis
Beers, lemonade, and water
Bikinis, swim trunks, flip-flops,
Tan lines and sunburns
Long drunk nights under
The tiki- torches,

This is what summer break is about!

when i had the chance to experience all the promised joys of summer, i stayed home and read philosophy crap. that was my summer break, so i can't relate to this...nicely written nonetheless.

Great descriptions, it's a lovely thought.

"Marked by the deathly temperatures
Rising form the sun,"

Did you use "form" intentionally? I really hope so haha, I like the word play there if yes!
