Never once wondered

Never once wondered

A Poem by Sangria Green

Maybe it’s a lie

but I can’t comply

to what you think of

The strain makes my veins blue

Thinking of what it truly was

that made me begin to love you

I’ve never wondered

How my revolution came

While everyone slumbered

You stare pass all the same

Maybe it’s a lie

but I can’t comply

to what you think of

The strain makes my veins blue

Thinking of what it truly was

that made me begin to love you

Past the wooden oak door

that hide the truths so well

No more thought than a chore

You wrinkled your nose at the smell

Maybe it’s a lie

but I can’t comply

to what you think of

The strain makes my veins blue

Thinking of what it truly was

that made me begin to love you

Of course you never wondered

Never thought to tease a lie

Past those pretty words they’re buried under

Never cared to ask why

Maybe it’s a lie

but I can’t comply

to what you think of

The strain makes my veins blue

Thinking of what it truly was

that made me begin to love you

Not a cold contradiction

Even thought that a lie was a truth implied

maybe its not true

But there was a time it was

Maybe it’s a lie

but I can’t comply

to what you think of

The strain makes my veins blue

Thinking of what it truly was

that made me begin to love you
