Moonlight...

A feeling long suppressed...

Sitting at the window,
I saw the full moon tonight.
It felt beautiful than ever,
Showering bright white light...

There was some sadness in it,
It felt like the moon is crying.
I think the moon was talking to me,
But why was he shying...?

The moonlight touched my face,
Reminding me of someone very special.
A tear rolled out of my eyes,
And head went to nestle...

All the emotions suppressed,
Came out through my eyes.
Just looking at the moon,
My tears went on rise...

Maybe she too was looking at the moon,
Maybe she was also crying.
My heart was pounding so fast,
I felt like I'm dying...

All the times when we were together,
Kept on flashing in my mind.
My heart filled with her love,
And now it was not confined...

The moonlight told me,
How much she misses me.
There are tears in her eyes,
And she is making this plea...

"Please come back to me,
Let's try to work things out..."
My mind was confused,
But the heart wanted to shout...

I could see her face on the moon,
She was in front of my sight.
The moon was just a messenger,
And message, was the moonlight...

I love the moon. I find it be really beautiful in the night sky. I have always associated moon and moonlight to loneliness, sadness, monotony and beauty. Your poem really did bring out these. It was a beautiful piece with the right feel.
