Lazy River

Lazy River

A Poem by Sunflower/Sara Kendrick
"

Rhyme...Poulter's Measure

"

The lazy river drifts on by

Its waters deep, deep green

Running shallow lazily

In search of grasses unseen

No star far enough to satisfy

A hungry soul in search

Oceans' depths can't hold the restless

Soul's desire for mirth

Pacing back and forth between

Microscope, seas, and stars

The hyper human examines

Feeling trapped behind bars

A very beautiful and enchanting poem. I really love this a lot. Being trapped on this earth and staring outward can, I believe, make us feel like we are trapped in/on a prison.

I'm pleased to hear that. :)
A fantastic rhyming poem. I love this, especially the ending. I think we do feel like we are behind bars when it comes to nature. We are drawn to it yet we build right over it. Very impressive work.
