Strawberry Fields Forever

Strawberry Fields Forever

A Poem by Sara

i know when it's a dream

Strawberry Fields Forever

Inside your body is a field of strawberries,
and I water it everyday.

The fragile leafy tendrils
wrap around your spine,
the budding fruit nestled

Your tongue tastes of scarlet,
tangs of acid.
It leaves me happy, content,
slightly shocked
like an infinity of summer days.

Inside me, you see rain,
replenished earth, the caressing
rays of the sun.
You look at me and see the sky,
endless and arching,
as everywhere as God.

Amazing and beautiful words. I read the poem a few times for the pleasure of the story and the strength of the word usage. Last lines I loved.
"You look at me and see the sky,
endless and arching,
as everywhere as God."
Thank you for your outstanding poetry.

So beautiful. Images invoked in the poem are simply breath-taking. Reading it reminded me of feelings I experienced in the past. Wonderfully written. :D
