Darkness Within

Darkness Within

A Poem by Kaiko

I am a sinner

not worthy to live

but I can't escape

this darkness within.

This darkness

this hatred

this craving

it's all the same.

I hate myself

I envy others

but I won't quit

won't quit my fun

Confusion in my head

stop or continue

I never know

but I don't care enough

The guilt is slowly disappearing

that good or bad?

I crave the evil

I want it deep within

I now embrace it

this terrible sinning

I will go to Hell

happy as can be

I wanted to switch the characters idea on evilness, but let me know if it's just plain confusing. Love the picture though.

I think this was a great poem. It flowed and it really put the picture of evil that was in the character's mind in the readers mind (if that makes any sense. . .). I didn't think it was that confusing. I didn't know you were switching that characters idea on evilness until you told me in the author's note, but I don't think you need to switch the character's idea, for the poem is still good. Anyway, the poem was great!

Let's face it, SIN feels good! It really does, and it is difficult to break free from. Many times I would rather just embrace the sins I commit rather than asking for forgivness... because I know I will just commit the sin again. You did an amazing job illustrating your point. Great write.
