You forgot to take the reserve

You forgot to take the reserve

A Poem by Saraplenty

Oh,

How I love

being your favorite

most missed memory.

The one who got away

thrown out

of fear.

Your constant intoxication

that lingers in your blood

to awaken sobriety.

Taking you higher

than that kite

you refuse to fly.

Hearing the lies

you whisper in the dark

corners of my heart.

Promising forever

Delivering yesterday

Taking now

Only to bleed my bones

Dry.

To me this piece is about love lost. It appears the person you're speaking of was a drunk. I doubt you meant it this way but when I read the title...I read it as you "Forgot to take the Steel Reserve." Might of had something to do with it.

I am awesome. And sometimes, I vomit things on to paper to aid in breathing. I write for me, to release what it is I am feeling at that moment, and because I like turning those feelings into so.. more..
