Ruined

Ruined

A Poem by Sarah

These f*****g thoughts circle around in my head.
Why did you do that to me?
You were supposed to protect me.
That's what brothers do.
How could you do that?

Stripped me of my damn innocence.
I wish to God you would f*****g die.
You don't deserve the air in your lungs.
No, not the beating of your heart.
What heart?

You made me vulnerable.
I was never meant to be this way.
Worthless.
Scared to death.
All because of you.

Son of a b***h, I can't even think straight.
You made me numb to the touch.
My blade soothes me.
Makes me feel alive again.
Cutting deeper and deeper into my skin.

If I was insane enough, I'd do it.
I'd go through with it.
Because it hurts me more to see your face everyday.
And your hands.
The ones that touched me.

You're sick in the head,
And now I'm even more damaged.
The f*****g nerve you have to look me in the eye.
I will never be able to feel hands on me again.
Not without the thought of you.

I'm ruined.

This poetry came awfully close to the furst one I would have shared.

However, When I started reading it, it came like a slap on the face, followed by shouting with tears flowing down the face.

My blade soothes me.
Makes me feel alive again.
Cutting deeper and deeper into my skin.

This lines really had me wowed. I mean, I hate it when women/men hurt themselves physically to compensate for their emotional turmoil. True that emotions can at times be unbearable, but then again the mind is like the sky, It is clouded sometimes, sometimes it is sunny too.

Damn expressive, impactful.

I felt your rage here, almost shared it. It's good that the blame is in him, but tragic that solace is found in the blade. The authenticity of your words rings through the entire work.

ok now that was deep,

I will never be able to feel hands on me again.
Not without the thought of you.

that part really made sense, because once something bad happens you never forget what or who it was,
and it will always be in your head...i wonder why good things dont work like this?

good write

You sure as hell don't hold anything back, and why should you. You were betrayed from within, the place where you should have been safe. Hope you turned out to be the stronger person.

I think aside your book, this piece ranks as my favorite right now. I enjoyed the brutal honesty and I have to tell you, nothing has me loving something unless I could sense some inkling of honesty in it. This was honest, ingenious and terrifyingly sincere. I would have thought prose was your forte but I guess, your poetry is just as powerful.

My favorite lines:
"...You don't deserve the air in your lungs.
No, not the beating of your heart.
What heart?"

Please keep doling them out. Good one, Sarah. Good one.

Hellish, harrowing words, pain filled through the knowledge that those who are meant to protect, can be the ones you need protecting from the most. Vivid screams the words from the page.

Thank you for the review. It's such a shame, but it's the honest truth sometimes.

You're very welcome Sarah. Keep writing.
I ... really don't know what to say
clearly she loves him but in a twisted and damaged way, she won't tell him frankly, but she will curse and hit and bite but in the end, she will go back to him (that's what I felt from what I have read"

THIS IS WRONG >:(

no one can make you do something you don't want to, even if he damaged you, life will goes on, and so you do,
time supposed to heal all wounds and it will if you allowed it to do so, it will heal every single broken heart if the heart opens up for it.

Great Work Sarah, keep up the good work, There is no way I am giving less than 100 as rating
